Our friendly staff is ready to help you
Welcome to Sofia Chiropractic, where chiropractic care is delivered in a warm and soothing environment. One of the first things you may notice when you come in is that our waiting room is small. That is because we never want our patients to wait. You will be seen right away.
Your First Visit
During your first visit, you will be greeted by our friendly staff who can assist you in completing your new patient registration. If you would like to complete this registration prior to your appointment, you can download the necessary forms here: New Patient Registration Form.
Dr. Sofia will then sit with you and discuss your entire history. Next, he will perform a full, interactive exam. Patients have often commented that their primary care physician has never performed such a thorough exam. “I will check everything on everybody.” If he deems X-rays are needed, there is an X-ray suite in the building. If you have had X-rays taken in the past, he can quickly look up your results because Sofia Chiropractic is tied into the hospital’s electronic record system.

Your Second Visit
During this “Report of Findings” visit, Dr. Sofia will explain all the results of your initial exam. Dr. Sofia will educate you regarding your proposed treatment plan, answer any questions you may have and inform you if he found any other issue that may need to be addressed. You will then receive treatment if you are ready to proceed.
This appointment will take 20-45 minutes.
Regular Visits
Upon your arrival, a staff member will take you to a room and inquire about any discomfort that you may be experiencing. Your visit may also include:
- Your vitals, including blood pressure, will be taken
- Therapy will be administered (heat, ice, interferential therapy, etc)
- The doctor will correct any spinal subluxations
- Dr. Sofia will demonstrate exercises for you to do at home
When Dr. Sofia prescribes exercises for you to do at home, he encourages questions about performing these tasks. If you are unsure about how to correctly perform any of these exercises, the Dr. will take the time needed to demonstrate the exercises himself while you are watching. This will ensure that you know and understand exactly how the exercise should look and feel and that you will be performing the exercises to have the greatest therapeutic effect.
This appointment lasts 15-30 minutes
